So, I've been gluten free for quite a while, but I still can't seem to find a bread I like. Udi's tastes good, but there are a lot of ingredients. Anyone have a good substitute? Sometimes you just…Continue

Comment by Kristen on May 22, 2012 at 9:23am Welcome Lauren, we're glad to have you! Vacations can be so hard- I'm going to Montreal and Quebec this summer and a little worried about finding gluten-free item on French menus! I usually spend about 5 hours doing some online searches before I go. But how can you not enjoy local cuisine....sigh, so hard!
Comment by Lauren on May 21, 2012 at 11:03pm Hi ladies,
I'm new to this site and group. Excited to connect about gluten-free living. I just went on vacation and really struggled to stay gluten-free the whole time and now I can really feel the negative effects on my body. I am feel re-motivated to stay aware and proactive in avoiding gluten!
Re: Domino's...I haven't tried it yet. Gluten-free pizza crust tends to be hit-or-miss, in my experience. My boyfriend is going to try making a gluten-free crust in our new bread machine; I'll have to report back!
Comment by Kristen on May 9, 2012 at 9:38am I saw that, let us know what you think if you try it. Looks like it's not good for folks with severe celiacs since they don't use dedicated ovens. The two times in the last two years I've went off the gluten free diet were to enjoy my favorite pizza, not sure if GF would be the same!
Comment by Kristen on April 30, 2012 at 9:31am chickpea potato chips!? I haven't tried those you, I'll have to check them out asap. Agreed, going gluten free has made me healthier overall, even just skipping the loaf of bread they serve before an Italian meal! (Or anything fried of course)
Comment by Anneliese on April 24, 2012 at 1:28pm i've been curious about gluten-free for a while, and decided to try it out. i definitely slip up sometimes, but i've managed to stay away from most gluten products and i have to say, even after just a few weeks, i think it's made a difference. not to mention--i realized i love gluten-free bread! it has so much for flavor and substance. i've found too that now i am better at avoiding nutrient-poor foods, like white bread or processed wheat products, that don't provide your body with half the healthy things present in foods like quinoa. i also just discovered chickpea potato chips--delicious! now that gluten free is becoming more visible, there are definitely more products and recipes out there for people like us.

A new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that most Americans are not getting enough exercise. In fact, only 20 percent get the recommended amounts of both of aerobic and muscle-strengthening exercise. How much exercise do you get?

Most people know that exposure to the sun can damage their skin. But, did you know that extended exposure to the same harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays that harm skin can also affect the health of your eyes and your vision? And, it can affect the appearance of your beautiful, vibrant looking eyes. In this, the first of several posts, I am going to tell you about the sun and your eyes, and what you need to know.
