I'm 56 and fortunate to be very healthy, but still haven't gone through menopause (think I'm getting close). This week is bad for the hot flashes, because the weather is heating up, it's my daughter's graduation and lots of activities with family and friends. So, I have perimenopause, hot weather, stress, fatigue ... all of which trigger flashes for me. But, most of the time, mine haven't been too bad. I credit that to exercise and luck!

Diamond-Diva, so sorry to hear about your husband passing, but glad you have the company of amazing family and a new great guy. What type of cancer did he have? I love your positive attitude and look forward to hearing all about the joys of spending time with your grand kids and developing the relationship with your new fellow!

Hot Topic: Are you getting enough exercise

new report from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that most Americans are not getting enough exercise. In fact, only 20 percent get the recommended amounts of both of aerobic and muscle-strengthening exercise. How much exercise do you get?

Blog Post Spotlight

About one in three women give birth through Cesarean deliveries, a startling fact that reflects an increasing national trend since the early 1990s, according to the Center for Disease Control. Women who have C-sections are more likely to return to the hospital, and their babies are more likely to require neonatal intensive care.
However, a recent study of pregnant women reveals that regular exercise may decrease the likelihood of medical interventions during delivery. When considering prenatal exercise, remember these important factors.
